Statfink is a collection of PHP scripts that are meant to be setup to track live stats for your yahoo! fantasy football league. Statfink is a free open source project.

Statfink is not a simple one-click download and install program. It requires the PHP scripts to be run on a server or webhost. You can either:

1.) Run your own webserver (local) to run Statfink [*RECOMMENDED METHOD*] or;

2.) Install Statfink on a (remote) webhost

There are advantages and disadvantages to both. This tutorial will show you how to install Statfink both ways. Statfink can run on a remote webhost (#2), even a free webhost, but free webhosts change their restrictions so often, it IS RECOMMENDED TO USE YOUR OWN WEBSERVER (#1).

*IMPORTANT!!!* - ONLY 1 PERSON IN YOUR LEAGUE SHOULD BE RUNNING THE STATFINK SCRIPTS. The rest of the league WILL be able to check ALL the scores on an accessible webpage (there is a built-in FTP feature. ) THIS IS CRITICAL TO NOT OVERLOAD THE SOURCES WE ACCESS OUR STATS FROM.

After following this tutorial, you should have a working version of Statfink installed in about 1 hour (or less).
